Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) have reportedly reorganised to attack Uganda and revenge on the arrest of Jamil Mukulu and his two accomplices.
Jamil was arrested in Tanzania and extradited to Uganda where he faces murder charges.
He is accused with Ugandan cardiologist, Aggrey Kiyingi, of masterminding the death of Muslim leaders in the country.
Police spokesman, Fred Enanga, told press in Kampala that ADF rebels have returned to their camps in Kivu province of Congo.
He said they are now commanded by Baluku Musa, second-in-command after Mukulu was arrested.
Enanga said Baluku is deputized by Hood Lukwago.
Other rebels, according to the police spokesman, have gone back to their original camps in several provinces like Orientale in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He said police and other security agencies have now deployed along the Uganda- DRC borders to counter any attacks.
