Curtis James Jackson III better known by his stage name 50 Cent has started a campaign to feed 1 billion Africans by 2016.
50 Cent yesterday won a bet on Floyd Mayweather’s victory at the historic fight against Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather defeated Manny Pacquiao by unanimous decision on Saturday in the welterweight world title.
Among other winners were; Nigerian pop star Omoba Olowo aka Davido, American rapper, Sean John Combs aka P. Diddy
Davido, who is currently in Las Vegas, bet of $20,000 (N4m), 50 Cent bet $1.4m while P. Diddy picked a cool $250K.
50 Cent mission to feed 1 billion Africans
50 Cent who turned philanthropist in 2011, has pledged to feed a target 1 billion people in African hunger-stricken nations.
According to Celebrity Networth, 50 Cent helped launch Street King energy drink, in collaboration with Pure Growth Partners.
The project arose out of 50 Cent’s pledge to feed one billion people in Africa between 2011 and 2016.
50 Cent, an American rapper, singer, entrepreneur investor and actor from New York City, was born in the South Jamaica neighborhood of the borough of Queens.
Jackson began selling drugs at age twelve during the 1980s crack epidemic.
He has also become one of the rap world’s most successful business people.
He currently has a net worth of $260 million.
