Twenty five attend coaching course


Up to 25 participants from different parts of Uganda are attending a five day non-residential FUFA beginners’ coaching course that commenced on Monday morning at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

The course is being conducted by two CAF instructors’ Jackson Nyima, the FUFA Education officer and Asumani Lubowa, the FUFA Technical Director.

According to Nyima who is also coordinating the course, says that the course was organised to introduce participants to a new career in coaching.

‘We appreciate FUFA and Tangosport Uganda Ltd for granting these participants such important courses for our coaches to allow them get introduced to coaching as a career’ said Nyima.

The course was also officially opened by Simon Echaku the Executive Director Tangosport Uganda Ltd and was the Guest of Honour

He thanked the local football governing body, FUFA for granting Tangosport Uganda an opportunity to organize such courses.

On behalf of Tangosport Uganda I want to thank FUFA for giving us this opportunity to organize such important courses here.

‘Besides granting us permission, FUFA has also supported us in all aspects to see this course happen. We shall be committed to execute to the desired standards’ noted Echaku.

He also used the same platform to thank the participants for responding to Tangosport call wherever approached for these courses.

‘I want to thank you all for the positive support you show us towards our efforts to professionalise the game’ added Echaku

The course is attended by beginners in coaching industry in Uganda and will climax this Friday.

They will study course modules such as teaching a football player, the game as the best teacher, small sided games, the qualities of a youth coach, Player development, age Characteristics, How to teach soccer players, components of coaching a soccer player among others

Since the completion of fourth goal project in May last year, FUFA has made Technical Center a one stop study point where marathon of courses are being held there to make use of the facilities.

Under the auspices of Federation of Uganda Football Association, Tangosport Uganda has successfully organized three different courses in a space of 10 months
