2 arrested over death of Museveni bodyguard

Police has arrested two people to help with investigations into the death of President Yoweri Museveni’s elite police unit “Police Presidential Guard (PPG)”.

PC Churchill Kusiima was discovered dead in a hotel room at Chez Johnson, the popular Nakulabye hangout last week.

Kusiima, one of Museveni’s long serving guards was last seen disappearing in the room with a juicy light-skinned woman identified as Ann Akampulira a night before.

It is suspected that he was poisoned before his belongings were stolen.

Kampala Metropolitan Spokesperson Patrick Onyango says police has arrested Alex Chubei, a hotel attendant at Chez Johnson and Akampulira who sexually serviced the soldier.

The two are currently detained at Wandegeya police station.

In April, a Special Police Constable who had been deployed to guard at Museveni’s State Lodge in Jinja town committed suicide.

ASP Abas Muwaira hanged himself near the lodge’s kitchen using a wire mesh.

Shortly after, Museveni’s guards attached to Special Forces Command [SFC] were struck by lightning while guarding an outpost in Entebbe.
