The Speaker of the parliament of Uganda Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga has furious fired back at the Ugandans complaining about the amount of money to be given to MPs to purchase cars.
Speaking to NTV yesterday evening, the Speaker Kadaga clarified how the 130m Ugandan shillings is to buy second hand cars.
She further said that government is supposed to buy them New cars at Shs450 but they also aware of the financial challenges in the country.
“If they are complaining about us buying second hand cars, then let government buy new cars at Shs450m,” the speaker furiously said.
Members of parliament are expected to get over Shs63 billions for buying cars this October.
Though the minister of Finance Hon. Matia Kasaijja said there is no money.
