100 arrested at Kampala city carnival


More than 100 people have been arrested at the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) carnival for engaging in criminal activities.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman Emilian Kayima, said the suspects were nabbed snatching phones, wallets, and pickpocketing, among others.

“We have so for arrested more than 100 people for involving in different crimes. Most of the suspects were arrested for stealing valuables while others were arrested for becoming nuisances,” Kayima said.

He said the numbers were likely to increase since the field officers were bringing more suspects.
